MEE

As the global leader in high pressure water fogging technology, Mee Industries has a celebrated history of providing innovative, leading edge solutions for industrial applications including gas turbine inlet air cooling, humidification, evaporative cooling, agricultural use and special effects generation. With over 850 Fogging system was installed into gas turbine for increasing gas turbine output, improving heat rate and reducing NOx emission and fuel consumption.

In both developing countries and mature economies around the world, electricity is the fastest growing form of energy consumption. This presents a challenge to power generation operators to effectively, yet efficiently, increase output to meet a growing need. That’s why operators turn to Mee Industries more than anyone else. Mee pioneered fog technology and remains the unrivaled global leader in gas turbine power augmentation using inlet air fogging. Many large electric power utilities and independent power producers have adopted MeeFog™ systems for their entire gas turbine fleet including both old and new gas turbines.

A MeeFog™ system is an unbeatable way to improve the output of existing power generation plants. In new plants, you can reduce the cost per kilowatt hour simply by adding a MeeFog System to the project.

MeeFog™ System Benefits

  • Fog Cooling Increases Output by 20% or more
  • Overspray Fogging Provides Additional Boost
  • Reduced NOx Emissions up to 30%
  • Improved Fuel Economy
  • Reduced COper kW of Power
  • Robust Equipment & Proven Technology
  • Guaranteed results!

Nozzle

Impaction-pin nozzle:
Water is forced through a smooth orifice and the high-velocity jet is directed at an impaction-pin located above the orifice.

Droplet Size Comparison

Mee Industries has measured the droplet size produced by several hundred types of nozzle under different conditions of water pressure and air flow velocities.

Measurements were taken using a state-of-the-art laser particle analyzer and conform to the soon-to-be published ASME droplet testing protocol.

The results of the research allow us to make very accurate predictions of the droplet size of fog produced by a given type of nozzle, if we know the flow rate and operating pressure of the nozzle.
